Preflighting and Auto-fix for Polkadots Software

By: E&P Staff Montreal-based Polkadots Software Inc. has announced that every version of NEWSflo, ADflo and PLATEflo will now incorporate its new preflight and auto-fix technology.

The additional technology will process incoming PDF, PostScript and EPS files and fix such problems as transparencies, missing fonts, four-color black text, RGB images, Pantone colors, spot colors, hairlines, composite JPEG, bounding box, and OPI.

"Preflight reporting is good but when it comes to workflow automation, on the fly file fixing is better to maintain high productivity," Polkadots President Gilles Duhamel said in a statement. "Trueflight & PDF DataLock technologies," he added, "go beyond the conventional preflight and deliver total file integrity throughout the workflow process."

All workflow bundles now also include Pitstop Certified status check and reporting of corrupted fonts, PostScirpt and PDF Errors, low image resolution, and other problems.
