Salmon will net N.H. newspapers

By: Editorial Staff Journal Transcript Newspapers Inc. has agreed in principle to sell its five weekly and two seasonal publications in New Hampshire to Stonebridge Press, Southbridge, Mass. The papers, with a combined weekly circulation of 35,000, will be part of a new company called Salmon Press Inc.
Stonebridge Press publishes nine newspapers in Massachusetts, including The Southbridge Evening News, daily circulation 5,315. Dirks, Van Essen & Associates represented Journal Transcript in the deal. Terms were not disclosed.
