Spanish Daily to Use Protec's E-Paper

By: E&P Staff A daily in Spain's Catalunya region will launch an electronic version of the paper this summer using ProtecMedia's E-Paper solution.

As readers flip through the electronic pages of the paper, they have access to multimedia features, ads and Web links, according to the company. Journalists can designate content for the e-paper in the same way they would for print and Web editions, and may include additional content, such as audio, video and extra photos, in the e-paper edition. Ad content also can be enriched for the e-editions.

Segre, which will make the e-paper available through its Web site, is one of the first Spanish dailies to acquire the solution, along with Adelanto of Salamanca.
