Spry Adds 200K More in Circ

By: E&P Staff The new Spry magazine, which officially launched this week, picked up an additional 200,000 in circulation.

The monthly health newspaper supplement from Publishing Group of America projected a launch circulation of 9 million.

"Spry shatters the myth that there is no room for mass-distributed magazines anymore," Samir "Mr. Magazine" Husni, chair of the journalism department at the University of Mississippi, said in a statement.

Some of the newspapers carrying Spry include The Washington Times, The Florida Times Union, the New York Daily News, the San Jose Mercury News, and the Los Angeles Daily News.

Publishing Group of America also publishes American Profile and Relish.
