By: E&P Staff Creators Syndicate is offering its newspaper subscribers an article about Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger by Creators President Rick Newcombe.
The free piece -- available starting this weekend from the Los Angeles-based Creators -- comes with an editor's note that says the syndicate represents columnists with "a wide variety of political opinions. The following is not a political statement but rather the author's recollections of personal encounters with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the strong impact they had on his life."
In the article, Newcombe describes Schwarzenegger as someone who has an attitude of "positive thinking." He writes that Schwarzenegger -- who Newcombe first met in 1978 -- inspired him to stay in shape, take a real-estate risk that turned out well, and start his own business. That was Creators, which Newcombe founded in 1987.
