By: Journal Community Publishing Group, a unit of Journal Communications Inc., said Wednesday it is selling the Louisiana Publishing Group to a Target Media Partners affiliate.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Elizabeth Brenner, president and chief operating officer of Journal Communications publishing group, said the company is selling the operations so it can focus its community newspaper and shopper clusters.
The Louisiana Publishing Group's assets include three vehicle photographic publications, a general merchandise shopper and two Web sites.
Journal Communications said the Louisiana Publishing Group will be classified as discontinued operations starting in the second quarter.
The companies plan to close the acquisition as soon as possible.
Journal Communications share rose 6 cents to $13.46 in morning trading.
