By: E&P Staff Three comic creators in the running for a major award this Saturday will appear on Suzanne Tobin's washingtonpost.com chat the day before the winner is to be announced.
The prize is the Reuben Award for cartoonist of the year, which will be presented May 28 at the National Cartoonists Society meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. The finalists for the honor -- and the May 27 chat participants -- are Pat Brady ("Rose is Rose"/United Media), Dave Coverly ("Speed Bump"/Creators Syndicate), and Dan Piraro ("Bizarro"/King Features Syndicate).
Tobin, who's comics page editor for The Washington Post, is hosting the chat this Friday from 1-2 p.m. Eastern time.
