TownNews.com Acquires fyndesign

By: E&P Staff TownNews.com, an online services provider for weekly and daily newspapers, has acquired fyndesign!, a rich-media creative services company, from its owner, Cindy Verhagen.

Verhagan will join TownNews.com and serve as general manager for fyndesign!.

Founded in 2003, fyndesign! specializes in helping newspapers post online special sections and artistic display ads. In 2005, fyndesign! successfully expanded into tiles, banners, and flash ads, as well as creating print ads, brochures, and media kits.

TownNews.com hosts nearly 1,000 online newspapers. Lee Enterprises has an 82% ownership stake in the company.
