Former President Donald Trump threatened a defamation lawsuit last week as he continues to complain about the Pulitzer Prize committee awarding the 2018 prize for national reporting to the New York Times and The Washington Post for their coverage “on Russian interference in the U.S. election and its connections to the Trump campaign.”
Trump’s previous statements blasting the award and decrying the reporting honored by the Pulitzer as the “Russia hoax” led to an internal investigation by the committee, which released its findings in July.
