Universal Promotes Glynn to V.P. Post

By: E&P Staff John Glynn has been named vice president of acquisitions and rights for Universal Press Syndicate and AMUSE, the syndicate's division for bringing its talent to movies and TV.

Glynn has been acquisitions editor since 2002 and a director of AMUSE since 2003. In late 2002, he was named a director on the board of Andrews McMeel Universal -- the syndicate's parent company. Glynn, a former Chicago police officer, began his Universal career in 2000 as an on-the-road sales rep.
