WashingtonPost.com Seeks Animated Editorial Cartoons

Posted
By: E&P Staff WashingtonPost.com is holding an animated editorial cartoon contest.

Digital artists and humorists are being asked to submit short animated commentaries (three minutes or less) focusing on political and topical issues.

"The Washington Post print edition has a rich tradition of editorial cartooning... . We thought it would be interesting for WashingtonPost.com to see who out there is interested in picking up the mantle for the digital age," said Hal Straus, opinions editor for the site.

Dec. 31 is the deadline for entries, with the winner to be announced in January and showcased on WashingtonPost.com.

Entry details are at www.washingtonpost.com/editorialshorts.
