WMNF 88.5 FM welcomes Alex Worthey as new general manager

WMNF is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Worthey as the station’s new general manager, effective Nov. 2.

With more than 20 years of experience in commercial radio, public broadcasting and digital media, Worthey brings a wealth of knowledge, fresh perspectives and a strong commitment to community-focused media.

Most recently, Worthey served as program director of WNCU 90.7 FM at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. His career also includes leadership roles at WUCF-FM in Orlando and WEDU PBS in Tampa, where he oversaw digital content strategy. His experience across radio, television and digital platforms positions him to help WMNF grow while staying true to its independent, community-driven mission.
