Cross-media publishing solutions supplier WoodWing Software, Zandaam, The Netherlands, and Detroit, announced June 9 that its Enterprise publishing system will support Adobe's upcoming viewer technology for tablets like the iPad, smartphones and other devices.
WoodWing designed Enterprise for flexible and scalable workflow, efficient collaboration and delivery of multimedia content to various output channels, including print, online and mobile.
"Adobe recently announced its digital viewer technology, and we've been working closely together with them to leverage our iPad experience and ensure that WoodWing's efficient tablet creation tools and workflow can also be used to publish to the Adobe viewer when it arrives later this year," WoodWing Software President Erik Schut said in a statement.
WoodWing said it will provide more details about its support for when details of Adobe's new technologies are made public.
Schut also said WoodWing will continue to enhance its Reader App "so that publishers in need of an efficient solution today, or that wish to work with CS4, can move forward while safeguarding their investment." He added that the company also will include services that make it possible to "deeply customize" the Reader App and maximize publishers' ability "to offer a unique experience for each brand."
