By: E&P Staff The Wall Street Journal on Thursday launched a Professional Edition aimed at consumers, that combines content from the Journal with material from Factiva and the Newswires.
The
Professional Edition requires a subscription for access and is available for $49 a month. Those who currently subscribe to WSJ.com are eligible for a discounted rate for the service.
The edition is customizable and covers specific industries -- pharmaceuticals, health care, energy, media & marketing, finance and technology -- as well as individual companies.
"The Wall Street Journal Professional Edition combines the full power of our unmatched global reporting with a unique database," Robert Thomson, editor-in-chief of Dow Jones and Journal managing editor, said in a statement. "Users will be able to access this service without being tethered to a clunky terminal."
