Yahoo Enlarges Newpaper Network

By: E&P Staff Yahoo Inc. has enlarged its network of newspaper partnerships to 634 participating publications.

The new members include the holdings of Shaw Newspapers, The Buffalo News, the Times Publishing Company, and the Columbian Publishing Company.

The group now includes 30% of all U.S. daily newspapers, and 37% of U.S. Sunday circulation, reports East Bay Business Times.

With the latest move, Yahoo! said it has more than tripled the number of member companies since the Consortium?s inception in November 2006.
