Agfa Donates Apogee Workflow System to PIA/GATF

By: E&P Staff Agfa Graphics, Ridgefield Park, N.J., donated an ApogeeX 3.5 workflow management system and Azura chemistry-free thermal plates to the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF), Sewickley, Pa.

ApogeeX 3.5 workflow features more Job Definition Format and Job Messaging Format functionality than previous versions, improving prepress department automation and throughput. The Azura thermal, negative-working plate -- utilizing Agfa's ThermoFuse laser technology, which removes all processing variables without using chemicals -- is designed for low- to medium-volume commercial printing.
