AMP Cartoon-Collection Authors Part of Book Expo

By: E&P Staff Several cartoonists will autograph their latest Andrews McMeel Publishing collections tomorrow in the AMP booth at Book Expo America, which is being held in New York City's Jacob Javits Center.

The scheduled lineup includes "Close to Home" cartoonist John McPherson (whose current AMP book is "A Million Little Pieces of Close to Home"), "For Better or For Worse" cartoonist Lynn Johnston ("Teaching ... is a Learning Experience!"), "FoxTrot" cartoonist Bill Amend ("Houston, You Have a Problem"), and editorial cartoonist Pat Oliphant ("Leadership: Political Cartoons -- The Bush Years").

Also: "Lio" cartoonist Mark Tatulli ("Lio: Happiness is a Squishy Cephalopod"), "Doonesbury" cartoonist Garry Trudeau ("Heckuva Job, Bushie!"), "Ziggy" cartoonist Tom Wilson ("Ziggy on Parade"), and "Mutts" cartoonist Patrick McDonnell ("Animal Friendly").

All of the above artists are with Universal Press Syndicate (a sister company to AMP) except McDonnell, whose comic is distributed by King Features Syndicate.
