Another Idaho Daily Installs Anygraaf's Doris32

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Moscow-Pullman Daily News, owned by TPC Holdings Inc., has chosen an editorial system from Anygraaf USA, Frederick, Md.

Now under way, the installation includes the Doris32 asset-management and publishing production-system, as well as the Planner edition-management and ad-layout system. Doris Job Planner, Doris proofing, Doris Web server and Doris I-Flow color-correction tools also are part of the package. Pagination will utilize Adobe InDesign, with Adobe InCopy as the text editor.

Installation is expected to be complete in May 2007. About 30 miles south, TPC's Lewiston Tribune just went live on Doris32 (E&P Online, April 12).

Doris32 includes integrated archiving and management for many document types, as well as audio and video clips. The multichannel system allows for a write-once, publish-many environment, letting users easily manage content for print and electronic media at the same time.

Doris Job Planner places staff schedules, story and photo requests, assignments and event listings together in a common interface, which provides reporters and editors a single location from which to organize an entire newsroom's activities.

The Planner will support display and classified ad layout, as well as automatic placement of ad reservations and ad material directly on InDesign pages managed in the editorial system. As in Lewiston, it will interface with an Icanon Newzware ad-booking system and Atex Enterprise booking system for classified layout.
