By: E&P Staff Monster.com has added another newspaper chain to its partnership. Community Newspapers Holdings, Inc. (CNHI) has agreed to use the online recruitment site for 145 of its publications.

?CNHI has moved aggressively to offer rich information and tools to our customers online, and the alliance with Monster will allow us to give recruitment advertisers and job seekers access to cutting-edge technology,? Donna Barrett, president and CEO of CNHI, said in a statement.

The partnership will result in 80 co-branded career sites. CNHI publications can offer recruitment advertisers the chance to appear in the Monster network. Job seekers who go to the co-branded sites get access to search and match technology. They can build an online profile and confidentially post their resumes for free.

?Monster?s alliance with CNHI helps make it easier than ever for local employers and job seekers in smaller markets to tap into Monster?s capabilities,? Doug Klinger, president of Monster North America, said in a statement. ?This agreement builds upon Monster?s strategy and leveraging local media alliances to create new points of distribution for our services and strengthens our brand relevance among small-to-medium sized businesses.?

Since July 2006, Monster has partnered with more than 200 newspapers including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Times, the St. Petersburg Times, and The Orange County (Calif.) Register.
