Anygraaf's Doris to Go Live in Lewiston, Idaho

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Lewiston (Idaho) Tribune, owned by TPC Holdings Inc., is about to go live with a new editorial system from Anygraaf USA Inc., Frederick, Md. Installation includes the Doris32 asset-management and publishing-production system and Planner edition-management and ad-layout system.

The full installation is expected to be complete next month.

Doris Job Planner, Doris proofing system, Doris Web server and Doris I-Flow color-correction tools also will be installed as part of the package. Editorial pagination will rely on Adobe InDesign, with Adobe InCopy as the text editor. Doris32 has integrated archiving and management for many document types, including articles, images, pages and graphics, as well as audio and video clips.

The multichannel production system allows for a write-once, publish-many environment, letting users easily manage content for print and electronic media at the same time. Doris Job Planner places staff schedules, story and photo requests, assignments and event listings in a common, color-coded interface that provides reporters and editors a single location from which to organize and track newsroom activities.

The Doris proofing provides RIP-based qualifying of pages and ads as they move through output, where pages are easily managed via a browser-based interface -- from Planner or directly from Doris.

Edition management and ad layout will serve as a bridge for dynamic two-way support for display and classified ad layout, and as automatic placement of ad reservations and ad material directly on Adobe InDesign pages managed in the editorial system. Planner will interface with Icanon's Newzware ad-booking system and the Atex Enterprise booking system for classified layout.
