Buttweiler Named Editor in Mason City, Iowa

By: E&P Staff Joe Buttweiler has been named editor of the Globe Gazette in Mason City, Iowa. Buttweiler most recently served as city editor of the La Crosse (Wis.) Tribune.

Buttweiler, 45, will be responsible for all aspects of editorial planning and management of the daily newspaper and online products, Publisher Howard Query said.

As city editor of the La Crosse Tribune for nearly two years, Buttweiler had been responsible for supervising a staff of 14 reporters. Both papers are owned by Lee Enterprises.
