By: E&P Staff A traveling exhibit of cartoons that deal with more serious, even tragic, subjects will make its way to New York City Thursday for a two-week showing.

"Cartoons in Conflict" is a collection of works by 40 cartoonists and artists that include Pulitzer Prize winners Pat Oliphant and Jim Morin, syndicated artist Jeff Danziger, No Rio of Japan, and Plantu of France.

The opening is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at 6 W. 26th St. in New York City and will include an exploration of "the thorny issue of reconciliation and peace between Israelis and Palestinians."

Liz Donnelly at dscriber.com details the event and offers a gallery of some of the featured cartoons, here.
