By: E&P Staff CCI Europe, Arhus, Denmark, is expanding the online capabilities of its CCI NewsGate system, including the option of a fully integrated online publishing engine, through an OEM partnership with Escenic, Oslo, Norway, under which CCI sells and supports Escenic's online technology.
CCI Europe and Escenic have been partners for over five years, with integrations of their systems. When CCI Europe demonstrated NewsGate prototypes in 2002, Esceni's content system was used to show live integration with an online production environment.
NewsGate has had online publishing capabilities from the start through connections to other systems, and CCI Europe Solution Strategist Ulrik Cramer said his company will "continue to support, and significantly enhance, our integration approach for those who already have online platforms in place."
By including Escenic's scalable online publishing engine, NewsGate now provides the option of a single-vendor, single-delivery solution for both digital and print media, combined with CCI NewsGate's tight integration to television environments.
By either approach, CCI NewsGate puts print, TV and digital media journalists on a common platform and in a joint story environment.
Developed as an "any media" solution, NewsGate content management offers planning, editing, workflow, collaboration, production and journalism support tools.
