By: E&P Staff The Chicago Sun-Times said Monday that 57 Wal-Mart stores will begin selling weekday editions of the newspapers, adding to the Sunday papers they have sold in recent years.

In addition, the paper said 93 Dollar Tree stores and 57 Dollar General stores have begun selling daily and Sunday editions of the paper.

"The addition of hundreds of new convenient locations to buy the Chicago Sun-Times is just part of Sun-Times Media's aggressive growth strategy for our network of print and online media, which reaches 3.7 million readers each week in print and online, or 52 percent of the Chicago DMA," Rick Surkamer, president and COO for Sun-Times parent Sun-Times Media, said in a statement.

"The Chicago Sun-Times continues to be the city's most-read newspaper, and it is a natural move to make the newspaper and its award-winning content even more accessible to readers across the region," Sun-Times Publisher John Barron added in a prepared statement.
