David Sirota to Write a Creators Syndicate Column

Posted
By: E&P Staff Creators Syndicate will start marketing a weekly opinion column by progressive writer David Sirota in the latter part of this summer, Sirota told E&P today.

Sirota, who's also a blogger and author, has been writing a column for the San Francisco Chronicle approximately once a month. He said his editor there put him in touch with the Los Angeles-based Creators after the death of Molly Ivins, another progressive writer who had been distributed by that syndicate.

"It's really an honor to be walking in Molly's footsteps, though I have no illusions that they think I alone could fill her shoes," said Sirota. He noted that Creators also syndicates people like Joe Conason, Froma Harrop, Robert Scheer, Connie Schultz, Mark Shields, and Norman Solomon.

Creators also has a large stable of conservative pundits, including Mona Charen, Michelle Malkin, Robert Novak, Bill O'Reilly, and Thomas Sowell.

Sirota -- who will continue to do his regular blogging at WorkingAssetsBlog.com -- is the author of "Hostile Takeover: How Big Money and Corruption Conquered Our Government and How We Take It Back."
