DTI Opens Mexico Office, Adds Staff

By: E&P Staff Publishing Systems developer Digital Technology International, based in Springville, Utah, has opened an office in Mexico City and added staff at its U.S. and U.K. offices.

"Having a record year in sales in 2004 makes such growth possible," said DTI CEO Don Oldham. Chief Operating Officer Jeff Carpenter called the Mexico office "part of DTI's global growth strategy," following "recent sales success ... in Latin America."

DTI hired as editorial trainers Luis Gomez and Victor Delgado, who will work out of the new office. Gus Berges is DTI sales manager for the area.

DTI's Latin American customers include: El Comercio, of Peru; La Naci?n, Argentina's second largest national newspaper; El Heraldo of Tegucigalpa; and La Prensa of San Pedro Sula, which serves 80% of the Honduran newspaper market); and List?n Diario of Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Additional staff hired in the United States are editorial trainers Lee Irwin, Courtney Holzendorf, and Diana Diehl, classified trainer Amanda Weikum, Web trainer John Arbon, interface team members Brian Leavitt, Scott Wallace, and Mark Webster, Ryan McLaughlin on the Web development team, and Grant Keele on DTI's Nexus project, which offers real-time integration of DTI advertising software with SAP's mySAP Business Suite.

DTI also hired Paul Gillogaley as an area sales manager for the southwest region of the United Kingdom and Ireland and Lawrence Hopkins as an editorial trainer.
