By: E&P Staff French regional daily l'Alsace, based in Mulhouse and publishing nine local editions and a German-French edition for almost 100,000 readers, has begun full production with EidosMedia's M?thode.
A replacement for an existing Wedia system, M?thode is used by approximately 150 editorial staffers, whose content also appears on the www.lalsace.fr news portal.
The editorial and publishing platform's multi-edition functions enable close collaboration between the newsroom and staffers in 11 local offices, sharing content and customizing advertising and editorial for editions in an integrated editorial workspace.
Through the system's integration with the existing ABB press controls, completed pages and production data are passed to the press management system, while information about press availability and performance is displayed in real time in the M?thode planning environment.
