The Texas-New Mexico Newspapers Partnership, which publishes the El Paso Times and seven New Mexico newspapers, will lay off 19 employees, officials said.
"These are employees who have provided valuable service to our newspapers and websites and to the communities we serve," said Sergio Salinas, president and chief executive officer of the partnership and publisher of the
El Paso Times. "This is a painful decision that is necessary as our business environment changes.
