Forbes has announced that Kyle Vinansky has been promoted to SVP of sales, North America. Vinansky will now oversee all North American sales operations — including the U.S. and Canada, reporting to Forbes’ Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Sherry Phillips. Previously Vinansky oversaw East and Midwest Sales.

Vinansky will leverage his strong relationships with top brands and agencies across North America to help strengthen Forbes’ sales organization throughout the region. In his new role, he will be responsible for all North American client and agency partnerships spanning Forbes’ integrated portfolio of digital media, branded content, research, live and virtual events, social, video and print.

“As we embrace this new normal and look to what a modern workforce looks like, we need to meet our clients where they are and think about how we can better work with top brands and agencies,” said Phillips. “Kyle brings both a strategic and creative mindset into everything he does, and he’ll unify and lead our North American sales team into the future.”

Vinansky’s passion lies in coaching and development, and he has a history of training and cultivating top talent both from inside and outside the organization.

“Where and how our clients live and work has fundamentally shifted, and time and attention are at all-time premiums,” said Vinansky. “As a sales organization, we need to be more focused, efficient and results-driven than ever before —and will only fully adapt to the evolving workplace by untethering ourselves from legacy team structures and outdated expectations for sales communication that no longer work for our partners.”

Vinansky has been with Forbes since 2011 and was previously the group vice president of East and Midwest Sales. He has also held roles managing New York Sales and leading the East region for the company’s award-winning content marketing platform, BrandVoice. Vinansky has deep expertise in the financial services, enterprise technology, professional services and spirits categories, including fostering longstanding partnerships with brands such as Capital One, KPMG, Deloitte and The Macallan. In 2015, he was recognized by min as a “Rising Star” and was awarded Forbes’ “Malcolm S. Forbes Award” as the top global advertising sales team member.

A graduate of Penn State University, Vinansky splits his time between Brooklyn, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Abbey, and daughters, Larson and Vivian.
