Fox News’ average total-day audience declined 27% from a year earlier during October’s ratings period, while CNN and MS NOW gained viewers, according to Nielsen data reported by TheWrap. Fox averaged 1.1 million viewers, its smallest monthly total-day audience since December 2023.

Among adults ages 25–54, a key demographic for advertisers, Fox’s audience fell 32% to 98,000 — its lowest monthly average in 25 years. MS NOW’s total-day audience increased 16% to 588,000, while CNN rose 3% to 402,000. The October ratings period covered Sept. 28 through Oct. 25.

Despite the declines, Fox remained the most-watched cable network in total-day viewing, drawing more viewers than CNN and MS NOW combined. Responding to TheWrap, Fox emphasized its continued television lead and digital reach, including 3.8 billion YouTube video views through Oct. 27. Those video views measure a different form of consumption and are not directly comparable to television audience figures.
