By: E&P Staff Gannett has announced two new appointments to its Newspaper Division: Daniel J. Donaghy has been named vice president/online sales and marketing, and Peter Lundquist has been appointed vice president/online content and operations.
Previously, Donaghy served as director/online classified sales. He was also senior vice president, corporate development at Classified Ventures.
"Dan Donaghy is an experienced online and newspaper executive," said Jack Williams, senior vice president/diversified business and development, in a statement. "He has made important contributions to our online growth since joining Gannett."
Lundquist was most recently director of online content at the Newspaper Division. He also started DesMoinesRegister.com and later became online director for the paper. In addition, Lundquist helped launch LJWorld.com of the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World.
"Peter Lundquist has a breadth of experience in online content, and an impressive record of success," Williams said in a statement. "We are excited to have him put his skills to work in expanded capacities for Gannett newspapers all across the country."
