GDT-Nova Makes Ads EZ for McClatchy

By: E&P Staff Three McClatchy Co. dailies went live with AdEZ solutions from ComScript Publishing Inc. of Auburn, Calif. Under the GDT-Nova brand, the products enable remote users to create, cost, preview, and archive classified and display ads to be published online and in print.

The Modesto Bee went live late last month with the merchandise and automotive categories, to be followed by employment and miscellaneous this month.

Also going live was The Sacramento Bee's AdEZ-AdPay integrated e-commerce solution for expanded online and/or print ads. The initial category launched was "Stuff," to be followed this month by automotive.

In addition, The Fresno Bee's new rentals and real estate categories went live, to be followed by recruitment and miscellaneous this month.

Other AdEZ users in the McClatchy group are The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C., and the Anchorage Daily News.

AdEZ, AdEZLite, and AdEZExpress are private-party and commercial ad-entry solutions that provide tools to create, cost, and preview in-column and semi-display ads in real time from advertisers' homes or offices. AdEZ costing and scheduling accuracy derives from connection to a newspaper publishing system via an XML server and real-time portal agents. The AdEZ suite of online classified products AdEZ is extended through integration with AdPay eCommerce solutions and AdFare video and banner marketing products.
