I’m delighted to announce the newest member of Opinion’s audience team. George Pierpoint joins us from the newsroom’s London audience operation, where he has been working for the past three years, most recently as a senior social editor. We’re fortunate to have him join the department and share his wealth of knowledge with us.
He joined The Times from the BBC, where he was a senior journalist working across social media. Before that, he was a user-generated content specialist on the BBC’s verification team. He also spent some time working in the BBC’s Washington bureau as an online reporter. Before moving into news, he spent time in the organization’s radio department, where he worked across a range of broadcasts and podcasts.
He graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Science in politics and international relations.
