The Chronicle is pleased to announce that Greg Porter has accepted a position as senior newsroom meteorologist.
In his new role, Porter will join the Chronicle’s Weather Science team, which launched in 2022 and quickly established itself as a vital part of the newsroom and a favorite of Chronicle readers. He’ll report to Weather Science Editor Hannah Hagemann.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the weather science team at the Chronicle,” Porter said. “The Bay Area has some of the most unique and complex weather anywhere in the world and is truly a dream location for a meteorologist.”
