By: E&P Staff The Hollywood Reporter will celebrate its 75th anniversary, coming in September, with a six-month-long series of features examining how the enterainment industry has changed since 1930. The series will culminate with an Anniversary Collector's Edition, which will be published in September and serve as a "roadmap to the future."

The first article in the series, which ran today, examined W.R. 'Billy' Wilkerson, who founded the daily trade paper's founder, and the hectic time in which the Reporter was created.

Each feature package in the series will sport vintage artwork, reprints from the archives, photography, and original illustrations. The stories will concentrate on general themes of change and development, looking at technology, government and politics, and globalization's impact on Hollywood. Two researchers were hired to study the more than 19,000 editions of the paper, owned by VNU, which also publishes E&P.

The Anniversary Collector's Edition will call upon industry leaders to share their visions for the future.
