Huron Daily Tribune Advertising Director Renee Willis is retiring after more than 35 years with the newspaper.

A native of Elkton and graduate of Laker High School, Willis started with the Tribune (Bad Axe, Michigan) in August 1988 as a sales representative for outside of Huron County, which she referred to as "challenging," before being promoted to advertising director in October 2017.

"Renee has been a staple at the Tribune for many years, and was one of the first people I met when I interviewed for my position as editor," Huron Daily Tribune Editor Eric Young said. "I’ve had a great time working with her over the last several years, and wish her the best in her retirement. She will be missed in the office, but something tells me we’ll still see her around."
