Jazbox for St. Louis Paper

By: E&P Staff The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a Harris system user for 33 years, signed a contract at Nexpo earlier this month for a Jazbox system from MediaSpan's Harris & Baseview division.

Post-Dispatch Information Technology Vice President Dan McGuire cited not only his paper's 33-year history as a Harris system user, but also the new system's scalability.

Already running Harris & Baseview's AdPower, the Post-Dispatch is buying a 280-seat Jazbox newsroom system that includes reporter/editor, page design and remote workstations.

Database-centered Jazbox manages content for publishing to print, Web, and wireless devices. While able to conform to a paper's workflow, Jazbox was designed to streamline processes and permit "modification in the midst of the production cycle."

Jazbox now also features OnePlan for planning and budgeting before stories are written.
