The Washington Post has announced that Johanna Mayer-Jones has been named head of global client and agency partnerships. In this role, she will greatly expand The Post’s enterprise partnerships, leveraging the breadth and depth of Post platforms to drive significant and sustainable revenue growth.

“We’ve had tremendous success partnering with brands and agencies that align with The Posts’ values, creating deeper collaborations that deliver on our clients’ goals, exceed their expectations, and translate to meaningful experiences for our readers,” said Joy Robins, chief revenue officer at The Post. “Johanna will be an extraordinary partner in building on this work, tapping into her experience helping brands execute creative, multiplatform campaigns that resonate with their target audiences.”

Mayer-Jones joins The Post from The Atlantic where she was senior vice president of partnerships, overseeing the publisher’s global sales and account management teams. Prior to joining The Atlantic, Mayer-Jones held several senior sales and marketing roles with The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones in New York and Hong Kong, including leading the Journal’s integrated marketing team, a global sales team, and serving as vice president of Live Journalism. Before the Journal, Mayer-Jones spent six years working in sales for the Financial Times. A London native, she began her career in broadcast journalism, working for Channel 4 and the BBC.

“I’m thrilled to be joining The Washington Post at this critical time for our industry. Collaborating with partners to build new and innovative ways of working has long been my passion,” said Mayer-Jones. “I’m excited to join Joy and the incredible team to expand the mission of The Washington Post and deliver extraordinary results for our clients.”

Mayer-Jones’ first day is July 11.
