Mission Broadcasting’s CW affiliate WPIX New York has added four-time national Emmy-winning journalist Kendis Gibson to the anchor desk of PIX11 News at 4 and 5 p.m.
During a distinguished career in both local and network television news, Gibson’s journalism career led him to Ground Zero following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, where he narrowly escaped minutes before the first Tower fell. Throughout the years, he has provided coverage of important political races, from Barack Obama’s historic ascent to the presidency in 2008 and Donald Trump’s surprising 2016 victory, to Joe Biden’s triumph in 2020.
