We’re excited to announce that Kennedy Elliott is joining the Graphics department as a story editor.

Kennedy joins us from National Geographic, where she was the director of interactive storytelling and led a team that created graphics and other interactive visuals. She edited digital graphics projects, including features on how Stonehenge was built, the birth of our solar system, our active sun and the science of hummingbirds. She was previously a graphics editor at The Washington Post where she worked on projects related to national news, health care policy, climate and police shootings.

Kennedy earned a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia where she majored in media studies.

Please join us in welcoming Kennedy to The Times.
