'L.A. Times' Monthly Magazine Names New Editor

By: E&P Staff The Los Angeles Times Media Group announced Tuesday that Nancie Clare has been named editor of LA, the Los Angeles Times' monthly Sunday magazine. She succeeds Annie Gilbar.

Clare, an original member of LA?s launch team, first served as deputy editor and in January of this year became executive editor. She will now oversee all of the magazine's content and creative direction, and will work alongside publisher Steve Gellman.

?Her vision for our Sunday magazine?s coverage of all things Southern Californian promises to be fresh and eclectic,? L.A. Times Editor Russ Stanton said in a release.

Previously, Clare was managing editor of WomensWallStreet.com, editor in chief of Ticketmaster?s events and sports guide supplements, and served as Los Angeles Magazine?s events editor.
