Posted
By: E&P Staff The Los Angeles Times announced yesterday that it is reorganizing the advertising department that serves the motion picture industry -- an important category that has been down at the paper.

As a result, Mickie Sullivan has been promoted to director of motion picture advertising. She will head up a team that includes sales, marketing, promotion, creative, and customer service support. The department will be responsible for developing plans for each new movie release. Most recently Sullivan served as motion picture advertising manager.

"Our goal is to offer unmatched service and resources to the motion picture industry," said Todd Brownrout, the Times' senior vice president, advertising, in a statement. "Under Mickie's strong leadership, we believe that the new multi-department team approach will provide far more effective and responsive service to the motion picture industry."

Additionally, the Times named Brian C. Kokes director of national advertising. His new duties will include overseeing all aspects of national advertising planning and sales. Prior to his new position, Kokes was national advertising director at the San Francisco Chronicle.
