By: E&P Staff Data Sciences Inc. in Laurel, Md., has reached an agreement with the Trbune Co. to install its Oracle- and Windows-based DSI/Circulation, DSI/WebCirc and DSI/e-Solicitor software at the Los Angeles Times.
Tribune is "the fourth major newspaper group" to sign for the systems, according to DSI President Mark Ganslaw.
Progress and success of the Times implementation will determine future installations at Tribune Co. newspapers, according to DSI.
In addition to its circulation system, DSI offers a display advertising management system, business analytics tools for circulation and financial analysis, Pitney Bowes Business Insight postal products, RouteSmart route-optimization software and VoicePort interactive speech-recognition software.
