Lee Enterprises, the company that owns The Eagle (Bryan, Texas), has laid off the paper’s editor and will outsource the job to its sister paper, the Waco (Texas) Tribune-Herald.
Sources tell KBTX longtime employee and editor of The Eagle, Darren Benson, was laid off last week. His name was removed from the masthead of the newspaper in Saturday’s edition without another editor being named.
