New M.E. at New York's 'El Diario La Prensa'

By: E&P Staff Javier Casta?o, former news director at Hoy in New York, has been named managing editor of El Diario La Prensa.

"We are delighted to have Javier Casta?o back at El Diario, since we know first-hand his level of professionalism and commitment to the Hispanic community," Rossana Rosado, publisher and CEO of El Diario, said in a press release.

Casta?o, who has spent more than 20 years in the media, had previously worked as a reporter for El Diario and the New York Daily News, and a correspondent for a Colombian newspaper, El Tiempo.

Now he will report to Pedro Rojas, El Diario's executive editor. "I believe Javier brings great knowledge and tremendous energy that will continue to fortify El Diario?s role as champion for Hispanics," Rojas said.
