New Web Editor at LAT's Times Community News

By: E&P Staff Paul Anderson, editor of the News-Press in Glendale, Calif., has been named web and multimedia editor for Times Community News, a Los Angeles Times-owned group of five newspapers, including the News-Press.

Anderson?s will be to work with the city, news, sports, and photo desks for each of the TCN newspapers and plan the daily and weekly web presentations. He'll also coordinate the look and feel of the newly designed website, coming online in Feb. 1, 2005.

Anderson, a veteran newsman and editor, has been an employee of TCN since January 1999, when he was hired as a reporter for Our Times in Santa Clarita. He moved to the News-Press in 2000 to cover police and courts and then later that same year was named city editor of the Our Times in Simi Valley. He then moved to what became the Inland Valley Voice, a six-day a week daily, as an assistant city editor. He stayed on as city editor of the Claremont-Upland Voice when that paper was downsized to a weekly in May 2003, and he rejoined the News-Press staff as city editor a year later.

Anderson will be based in the Orange County office.
