New York Times Goes Free for High School Students, Teachers

The New York Times says it will offer U.S. high school students and teachers free digital subscriptions to the Times's content through next year.

An announcement on the Times's website states that the program is open to teachers employed at recognized U.S. high schools and allows them to invite their students to receive unlimited free access to articles, videos, and learning content on the Times's website. Parents of homeschooled children are not eligible to participate.
