Paddock's 'Daily Herald' to Kick Off Advo Delivery

Posted
By: E&P Staff On Wednesday, the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago will launch the delivery partnership with the big direct-mailer Advo announced in December.

About 123,000 Daily Herald subscribers will receive Advo's ShopWise package of preprinted advertisements on top of their Wednesday paper each week. Advo will mail the package to non-subscribers for delivery on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

"Our alliance with Advo opens up the market for our clients, allowing them to harness the strength of two powerful advertising media -- newspapers and Advo -- to reach 98% of the market,? said Doug Ray, president and CEO of Paddock Publications. The companies say the package will reach about 725,000 households in the suburbs north and northwest of Chicago.

The Daily Herald, Illinois' third-largest newspaper, is the 30-th U.S. paper to partner with Advo.
