By: (AP) Spanish media company Recoletos Grupo de Comunicacion SA today launched a free newspaper called Que! with a daily circulation of one million.
The newspaper will be distributed in 12 Spanish cities, in direct competition with free dailies Metro and 20 Minutos, already distributed in Spain. Recoletos didn't provide details on the cost of the launch.
Recoletos is 79-percent-owned by British media giant Pearson PLC. A group led by Recoletos management launched a bid for control of the Spanish company late last year. That bid is still pending approval.
Recoletos publishes the leading Spanish sports daily Marca and the financial daily Expansion.
