Poetry Column Offered to Newspapers

By: E&P Staff U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser's American Life in Poetry project is offering a free weekly column to newspapers, according to a Seattle Post-Intelligencer story.

Each installment of the column will feature a poem by a living American and a brief introduction by Kooser.

"I want to show that poetry need not be intimidating, or impossibly difficult," Kooser told the Post-Intelligencer.
